Katherine Kerr Kubatzky is a former news reporter for a major metropolitan daily newspaper who brings a practical and realistic approach to non-profit communications. She specializes in media relations, crisis communications, stakeholder communications and event management. Katherine began working in the nonprofit sector in 1991 and has served social service agencies, hospitals and universities as a freelancer, staff member, and department head.
Katherine is a member and past board member the Religion Communicators Council. She is a past president of the Houston Press Club. She earned the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) designation. She has provided training on media relations and crisis communications to members of the Texas CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) network and to the Religion Communicators Council Austin chapter. She has managed and volunteered on several political campaigns.

Tim Kubatzky is a veteran Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) with a 30-year professional career serving in a variety of institutions of higher learning in Texas. He has been involved in the planning and execution of six capital campaigns with goals that ranged from $5 million to $300 million.
His experience covers all aspects of advancement: development, communications, alumni relations and back-office operations. He is the fundraiser for the University of Texas Moody College of Communications. For more than a decade Tim has worked directly with board members, presidents and deans to craft cases for support and deliver the institutions’ messages to potential donors and volunteers, and to secure funding at the highest levels.
Tim is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He has conducted workshops at the national and regional level for CASE, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education; the Development and Institutional Advancement Program of the Association of Theological Schools; the Association of Fundraising Professionals Houston Chapter; and APRA, the Association of Prospect Researchers for Advancement.

Tim and Katherine are proud graduates of the University of Missouri’s Journalism School, the best journalism school in the world. Both are ordained elders in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and have served as assistant scoutmasters in the Boy Scouts of America. They have three brilliant adult sons, an amazing daughter-in-law and a grandson who has stolen their hearts. They live in Central Texas with their rescue dog, Chico, on a lot that is too big to be a yard and too small to be a ranch.
